Outdated Media and Format Conversion

In many businesses, a wealth of information is stored on outdated media in old formats. ScanPoint can convert this data to modern universal formats that can be read by almost any computer system. ScanPoint can convert and output this data to CD-ROMs, optical disks, JAZ, ZIP, DAT and Travan or FTP. We can convert Canofile 250 and 510 formats as well as old 5.25” floppy disks. ScanPoint can restore access to your old inaccessible records.

Conversion of Paper Documents to Electronic Format

ScanPoint services include conversion of all your paper documents to electronic format. We work with you on a project plan that ensures all of your questions are answered and all of your needs are met. On completion of the plan, ScanPoint will transport your paper documents to our facility, log the documents in and communicate the project tasks and requirements to our staff.

The documents are then prepared for scanning. Staples, covers and clip are removed, if necessary. We repair damaged documents such as tears, folds and bends. All documents are logged and counted for Quality Control. Then we scan the documents at approximately 60 to 70 pages a minute.

The documents are then indexed by hand or by machine and the staff reviews all documents for quality control based on the quality requirements set forth in the project plan. The documents are then output to the format specified in the project plan and again checked for quality. The documents on the specified media are then returned to the customer.

Database Conversion

ScanPoint can also convert your MS ACCESS 97 Databases to newer versions of MS ACCESS or SQLSERVER.
